Rusted Solutions™ Rust Remover Soak is a ready-to-use immersion rust remover designed to remove rust from steel, cast iron and other ferrous metal components without aggressive sanding, blasting or mechanical preparation. Simply fully submerge the rusted component in the Soak and allow the solution to penetrate and remove the corrosion. Its fluid consistency allows it to reach threads, seams, crevices and difficult-to-access areas that may be difficult to treat mechanically. Rust Remover Soak is particularly suited to tools, automotive parts, machinery components, cast iron, antiques, fasteners and other rusted items that can be completely submerged. The solution is reusable and can be retained for multiple rust removal applications. Five litres of Rust Remover Soak can hold up to 450 g of dry rust before its effective rust-removal capacity is exhausted. Rusted Solutions™ Rust Remover Soak is non-hazardous, biodegradable, VOC-free and non-corrosive, providing a practical alternative to aggressive rust removal methods.

Remove dirt, oil, grease, wax and loose rust or scale from the component before treatment. If a degreaser has been used, rinse thoroughly to prevent contamination of the Rust Remover Soak. Pour Rusted Solutions™ Rust Remover Soak into a suitable container large enough to completely submerge the rusted component. Fully immerse the item so that all rusted surfaces are in contact with the solution. Allow the component to soak until the rust has been removed. Rust removal will typically begin within approximately 1 hour. Heavily rusted components may be left soaking for longer periods or overnight. Periodically remove and inspect the component. Where rust remains in deep pits, seams, threads or crevices, return the item to the solution and continue soaking. Once the rust has been removed, remove the component and rinse thoroughly with clean water. The Rust Remover Soak can be retained and reused for subsequent applications until its rust-removal capacity has been exhausted. Dry the cleaned metal promptly and apply an appropriate protective coating, oil or other corrosion protection to minimise the return of rust.
