AeroBond™ Canister FAQs

What is the difference between AeroBond AD40 and PU 80?

AD40 is a spray contact adhesive used to bond compatible materials such as foam, fabrics, leather, plywood and MDF. PU 80 is an expanding polyurethane foam used for gap filling, insulation and installation work.

Is AeroBond AD40 suitable for upholstery?

Yes. AD40 is designed for upholstery and related applications where fast drying, high tack and heat resistance are required. Always test the materials for compatibility before use.

Can PU 80 be sanded and painted?

Yes. Once fully cured, PU 80 forms a rigid polyurethane foam that can be cut, sanded and painted.

What equipment is required?

A compatible spray gun, hose and application tip are required. Confirm the correct equipment for the selected product before connecting the canister.

Can the spray gun be removed after opening?

Follow the instructions for the individual canister system. For PU 80, do not remove the spray gun after the canister has been opened. Correct shutdown and storage help prevent cured material or adhesive from blocking the equipment.

Is ventilation required?

Yes. Use AeroBond products with adequate ventilation and follow the relevant label, technical data sheet and safety data sheet.
