Fortis C501 is designed to soften and weaken cured polyurethane glue on metallic machine parts, tools, and processing equipment. For small parts, simply soak them in a metal pail or bucket with Fortis C501. Once softened, the adhesive can be peeled, scraped, or scrubbed off.
To speed up the process, Fortis C501 can be heated. However, this should only be done in a controlled environment with adequate ventilation. Always wear PPE (organic vapour masks and chemical goggles) when heating.
For fixed equipment, apply Fortis C501 directly to the cured glue with a brush. You may need to apply it several times. Once softened, the adhesive can be removed by peeling, scraping, or scrubbing.
Always use Fortis C501 in a well-ventilated area and follow all safety instructions. Wear appropriate PPE to ensure safety
Fortis C501 Cleaner may cause swelling or damage to seals and plastic components. If these parts come into contact with the cleaner, they might need to be replaced. Additionally, Fortis C501 can damage or even destroy paint or protective coatings on tools and equipment. To prevent potential damage, it is essential to use this cleaner only on surfaces that are not sensitive to these effects.
