Fortis AD5025-S is a single-component, moisture-curing structural polyurethane timber adhesive developed for fast finger jointing and structural wood bonding.
With a working time of less than 2 minutes, AD5025-S is particularly suited to automated and high-speed finger-jointing production where rapid processing and reliable bond performance are required.
The adhesive provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of timber species, including dense Australian hardwoods, imported hardwoods, Radiata pine and other softwoods. Its moisture-curing polyurethane chemistry produces a strong, water-resistant bond with a slight foaming action during cure.
AD5025-S is designed for demanding structural timber applications and meets EN 302 / AS/NZS 4364:2010 requirements. It is also certified by the Glued Laminated Timber Association of Australia under GLTAA Certificate #007.
Its high bond performance at relatively low application rates makes AD5025-S suitable for professional timber processors seeking fast production, consistent bonding and efficient adhesive use.

Ensure all bonding surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease and other contaminants that may interfere with adhesion.
Fortis AD5025-S is designed for fast finger-jointing processes and is suitable for a wide range of joint profiles. Comb-style finger joints are commonly used. Accurate machining and close wood-to-wood contact are essential for achieving optimum structural bond performance.
Apply AD5025-S evenly at the application rate specified in the current Technical Data Sheet. A fine water mist applied to the timber may assist the moisture-curing reaction where recommended for the timber species and processing conditions.
Assemble and press the components within the specified working time. Processing times will vary depending on timber species, moisture content, temperature, humidity and production conditions.
During cold weather, maintain the adhesive at an appropriate processing temperature. An adhesive temperature of approximately 20–30°C is recommended for consistent application and cure performance.
For laminating applications, suitable bonding pressure must be maintained during cure. The current product information recommends a minimum pressure of approximately 1400 kPa.
Refer to the current Fortis AD5025-S Technical Data Sheet for application rate, working time, clamping time and processing requirements before production use.
Suitable substrates include:
• Australian hardwoods
• High-density hardwoods
• Imported hardwoods
• Radiata pine
• Softwoods
• Solid timber
• Engineered timber products
• Finger-jointed timber
• Suitable structural timber components
Bonding surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease and other contaminants that may interfere with adhesion.
Excellent wood-to-wood contact is essential for structural bonding. Finger-joint profiles must be accurately machined and provide a close mechanical fit.
Timber moisture content, species, density, temperature and production conditions can influence adhesive cure and bond performance.
Where recommended, a fine water mist may be applied to assist the moisture-curing reaction.
For laminating applications, suitable and consistent bonding pressure must be maintained during cure. Refer to the current Technical Data Sheet for processing requirements.
Production trials should be carried out when introducing new timber species, joint profiles or manufacturing conditions.
