FORTIS Sol-T Contact Adhesive Cleaner is a toluene-based industrial cleaning and thinning solvent designed for use with compatible solvent-based contact adhesives.
Its strong solvency makes Sol-T particularly useful for cleaning brushes, rollers, application equipment and tools after contact adhesive use. It can also assist with removing uncured adhesive residue, oils and grease from compatible solvent-resistant surfaces.
Sol-T may be used as a thinning solvent with selected Fortis solvent-based adhesives where specifically recommended in the relevant Technical Data Sheet.
The product is particularly suited to workshops, furniture manufacturing, upholstery, laminating, fabrication and other industrial environments using solvent-based contact adhesives.

Toluene-Based Cleaning & Thinning Solvent
Cleaning tools and equipment: Remove excess uncured adhesive mechanically where practical. Apply FORTIS Sol-T to a suitable cloth, brush or cleaning tool and clean the contaminated surface before the adhesive has fully cured. Repeat where necessary.
Cleaning application equipment: Sol-T can be used to clean compatible brushes, rollers and selected adhesive application equipment after use with compatible solvent-based contact adhesives.
Surface cleaning: Sol-T has strong solvency for oils, grease and adhesive contamination and may be used to clean compatible solvent-resistant surfaces where appropriate. Allow the solvent to evaporate completely before subsequent bonding or coating.
Thinning adhesives: Use Sol-T only for thinning Fortis adhesives where the relevant Technical Data Sheet specifically recommends its use. Add only the amount required and mix thoroughly.
Use with adequate ventilation and appropriate personal protective equipment in accordance with the current Safety Data Sheet.

Sol-T is best suited to cleaning uncured or recently applied compatible contact adhesive. For heavy cured polyurethane or epoxy adhesive build-up on compatible metal equipment, FORTIS C501 Adhesive Stripper may be more appropriate.
