Does Concrete Sealer Make Concrete Slippery?

Why Can Sealed Concrete Become Slippery?

Film-forming sealers create a protective layer over the concrete. On smooth or densely finished surfaces this can reduce the texture available for grip. The effect can become more noticeable when the surface is wet.

Applying excessive sealer or repeatedly resealing without considering existing film build can also produce a smoother surface. Thin, correctly applied coats are important.
