Jiffy Mixers – Professional Coating & Resin Mixers

Genuine Jiffy Mixer stainless steel mixing blades for thorough, low-air mixing of epoxy, polyurethane, polyaspartic coatings and other resin systems.

Information

Jiffy Mixers are professional mixing tools designed for thorough blending while minimising unnecessary air entrainment. Manufactured from polished 304 stainless steel, Jiffy Mixers are widely used for mixing resins, coatings and other industrial materials.

For two-component epoxy, polyurethane and polyaspartic coatings, correct mechanical mixing is critical to achieving a uniform blend of resin, hardener, pigments and additives. The Jiffy Mixer design provides efficient material movement through the mixing container without the aggressive aeration associated with some conventional mixing paddles.

Fortis supplies genuine Jiffy Mixer models selected for professional coating and resin applications. The HS-2 is suited to smaller batches and 4–8 litre containers, while the larger ES model is designed for medium to heavy mixing in approximately 8–20 litre containers.

For best mixing performance, Jiffy recommends operating at approximately 450–750 RPM. Always keep the mixer fully immersed while running and select the mixer size and speed appropriate for the container and material being mixed.

Product Application

Jiffy Mixers are ideal for mechanically mixing epoxy, polyurethane, polyaspartic and other compatible resin and coating systems.

Secure the mixing container and attach the mixer firmly to the power-tool chuck. Fully immerse the mixing head before starting the tool and keep it submerged while operating to minimise splashing and air entrainment.

Move the mixer around the bottom of the container to incorporate settled pigments or fillers, then slowly move it through the material until a smooth, uniform mixture is achieved.

For most Jiffy Mixer models used for coatings, approximately 450–750 RPM provides effective mixing. Do not exceed the maximum RPM specified for the individual mixer model.

Clean the mixer immediately after use with a cleaning method compatible with the material being mixed.

Surfaces

Suitable for mixing compatible liquid and filled coating systems including epoxies, polyurethanes, polyaspartics, paints, resins and other industrial materials. Select the Jiffy Mixer model according to batch volume, viscosity and container size.

FAQs

What is a Jiffy Mixer?

A Jiffy Mixer is a professional mechanical mixing tool designed to thoroughly blend coatings, resins and other materials while minimising unnecessary air entrainment.

Are Fortis Jiffy Mixers genuine?

Yes. Fortis supplies genuine Jiffy Mixer commercial mixing tools manufactured from polished 304 stainless steel.

Which Jiffy Mixer should I choose?

The HS-2 is suited to smaller coating batches in approximately 4–8 L containers. The larger ES is designed for medium to heavy mixing in approximately 8–20 L containers.

What speed should I use?

Jiffy recommends approximately 450–750 RPM for thorough mixing. Never exceed the maximum RPM specified for the individual mixer model.

Can Jiffy Mixers be used for epoxy?

Yes. Jiffy Mixers are well suited to epoxy and other multi-component resin systems, including compatible polyurethane and polyaspartic coatings.

How do I reduce air when mixing coatings?

Keep the Jiffy Mixer fully immersed while operating, use the recommended mixing speed and avoid unnecessarily aggressive mixing. Correct mixer selection also helps achieve a uniform blend.
