Graffiti Shield™ PU528 is a two-component water-based polyurethane coating designed to provide permanent, non-sacrificial protection against graffiti. The clear gloss finish creates a durable, easy-clean barrier that reduces the ability of graffiti paints and contaminants to bond strongly to the protected surface.
Unlike sacrificial anti-graffiti treatments that are removed during cleaning and require reapplication, PU528 is designed to remain in place during repeated graffiti removal. Its high chemical resistance allows suitable graffiti-removal products to be used while helping protect the underlying substrate.
PU528 provides excellent adhesion, very low VOC content and resistance to yellowing. It is suitable for properly prepared concrete, brick, blockwork, masonry, fibre cement, compressed cement sheet, metal, natural stone, painted surfaces, murals and compatible vinyl signage. The clear finish allows the original substrate, colour or artwork to remain visible.
Ideal for public buildings, schools, shopping centres, car parks, transport facilities, retaining walls and building facades. Porous or heavily textured surfaces may require filling or sealing to improve coating coverage and subsequent graffiti removal.

Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free from dust, wax, oil, grease, curing compounds, loose material and other contaminants that may interfere with adhesion. New concrete must be cured for a minimum of 28 days before coating.
Porous, rough or heavily textured surfaces should be suitably prepared and, where necessary, filled or sealed before application. A smoother protected surface makes subsequent graffiti removal easier by reducing pores and voids where paint can become trapped.
Previously coated surfaces must be sound and compatible with Graffiti Shield™ PU528. Apply a test area to confirm adhesion and final appearance before full application.
Mixing & Application
Mix Graffiti Shield™ PU528 at 3 parts Part A to 1 part Part B by volume. Mix thoroughly for a minimum of 4 minutes using a suitable Jiffy mixer. Use controlled mixing speed to minimise air entrapment.
Apply two uniform coats by brush, roller or suitable airless spray. Typical theoretical coverage is approximately 7–10 m²/L per coat depending on substrate texture, porosity and application method.
Apply the second coat after approximately 30–40 minutes within the specified recoat window. Do not exceed the maximum recoat period without appropriate surface preparation, as intercoat adhesion may be affected.
Apply between 5°C and 35°C and ensure adequate ventilation during application and cure. Allow approximately 7 days for full cure and maximum coating performance.
Suitable Surfaces
Graffiti Shield™ PU528 is suitable for properly prepared concrete, concrete block, brickwork, masonry, fibre cement sheeting, compressed cement sheet, metal, natural stone, painted surfaces, murals and compatible vinyl signage.
Previously painted, coated, decorative and non-porous surfaces should be tested before full application to confirm adhesion, compatibility and final appearance. Porous or highly absorbent surfaces may require sealing or priming before application.
Typical Applications
Rough and highly textured surfaces can retain graffiti within surface pores and voids. Filling or sealing these surfaces before applying Graffiti Shield™ PU528 can improve coating coverage and make subsequent graffiti removal easier.
4 L, 16 L
A non-sacrificial coating remains on the surface during graffiti removal. Unlike sacrificial systems, Graffiti Shield™ PU528 does not normally need to be reapplied after each cleaning.

It is designed for properly prepared concrete, masonry and compatible coated surfaces including walls, commercial buildings, public infrastructure and other graffiti-prone areas.
Apply two uniform coats. Typical theoretical coverage is approximately 7–10 m²/L per coat depending on substrate texture and porosity.
Apply the second coat after approximately 30–40 minutes within the specified recoat window. Delaying beyond this period may affect intercoat adhesion.
PU528 is clear but produces a gloss finish. Always apply a test area first, particularly on porous, decorative or previously coated surfaces.
Allow approximately 7 days for full cure and maximum coating performance.
