Fortis AquaCoat™ is an ultra-low VOC, high-solids, two-part water-based epoxy coating. It is specifically designed for concrete floors in areas with pedestrian traffic and light to medium vehicle traffic. Furthermore, it has a very low odour during application, making it perfect for schools, healthcare facilities, food service areas, and office buildings. Fortis AquaCoat™ is highly recommended for indoor use.
Substrates should be thoroughly sanded or ground to provide a keyed surface. If applying over existing coatings adhesion should be tested by preparation of a small test area. Remove all potential contaminants. On new concrete surfaces, it is best to diamond grind the surface. Old surfaces are best diamond ground but it is possible to etch and clean the surface. Fortis AquaCoat™ New concrete must be cured for a minimum of 28 days before application.
Fortis Aqua Coat is suitable for use as a priming coat, which may be diluted 10-15% with water.
