Fortis C501 is a cleaner designed specifically for the removal of cured polyurethane adhesives from machine parts, tools, and processing equipment. This product is not recommended for the removal of uncured adhesive. For the cleanup of uncured glue, Fortis recommend alternative cleaning solvents (Fortis Sol-X).

Fortis C501 is designed to soften and weaken cured polyurethane glue adhered to metallic machine parts, tools, and processing equipment.
Small machine parts or tools can be allowed to soak in a closed container (metal pail or bucket) of Fortis C501. The softened adhesive may then be peeled, scraped, or scrubbed off. Cleaning can be accelerated by heating Fortis C501, however, this should only be done in a controlled environment with users equipped with suitable ventilation and PPE (organic vapour masks and chemical goggles).
For fixed equipment, Fortis C501 can be brushed on to cured glue to soften it for easier removal. Multiple brush applications may be required. The softened adhesive may then be peeled, scraped, or scrubbed off.
Use with adequate ventilation – ensure PPE requirements and safety instructions are observed.
Fortis C501 cleaner may cause swelling of and damage to seals and plastic componentry. These parts may require replacement following contact with this product.
Fortis C501 cleaner may damage or destroy paint or existing protective coatings on equipment or tools it comes in contact with.
