Concrete Shield™ Wet Look Enhancer

Concrete Shield™ Wet Look Enhancer is ready to use penetrating water and oil repellent based on blended fluorinated polymers in a non-flammable solvent. It has an unusual property in that it dries provided a wet look on concrete or stone.

Information

Concrete Shield™ Wet Look Enhancer is a penetrating sealer made for both indoor and outdoor use. It is easy to apply and safe to use. For instance, it works well in warehouses, restaurants, retail shops, and car parks.
In addition, it doesn’t just protect — it also improves the look of the surface. It slightly darkens concrete, which gives it a clean, wet-look finish. As a result, the surface appears richer and more polished.
Moreover, the product soaks deep into the material. Because of this, it helps block water, oil, and grease. Therefore, surfaces stay cleaner and are less likely to stain.
Not only that, but it also works on many types of surfaces. These include concrete, terracotta, natural stone, man-made stone, and terrazzo. Overall, it offers strong protection while also enhancing the look of your space.

Applications

Tip: Always try the product on a small, hidden spot first to make sure you're happy with the result.
Before you begin, make sure the surface is completely dry, clean, and free of any stains or marks. Then, apply the product evenly using a microfiber mop, roller, or brush. How much you need will depend on how absorbent the surface is — usually between 4 and 40 square meters per litre. The surface should look evenly wet and slightly shiny. After about 20 minutes, apply a second coat the same way.
Wait another 20 minutes, then gently wipe away any extra product using a cloth that's slightly damp with Concrete Shield™ Wet Look Enhancer. This helps remove puddles, drips, or streaks.
Once the surface feels dry to the touch, use a buffing pad or similar tool to remove any remaining residue. Try not to use too much product at once, as that can make cleanup harder.

Surfaces

Make sure all surfaces are clean and free from oils and dust before you start. Keep in mind that some stones may absorb the product unevenly, which can cause cloudy or patchy spots. Also, be careful to protect glass, polished surfaces, plastics, varnishes, and other materials that can be damaged by splashes.
Avoid using this product on surfaces that are wet or don’t absorb liquids well, as it won’t work properly. Remember, marble and limestone can still be damaged by acids even after treatment.
Most of the solvents dry within two hours. You can walk on the floor after 12 hours, but it takes about 48 hours for the product to fully work. The surface temperature should be between 10°C and 25°C while applying. Also, turn off underfloor heating and avoid working in direct sunlight.
Finally, how much product you’ll need depends on the surface—more porous surfaces soak up more, so they require more product.
