Concrete Shield™ Grout 1000

Concrete Shield™ Grout 1000 is a high-performance grout for use with polished concrete and terrazzo floors.

Information

Grout 1000 is specially made for re-grouting and filling holes in polished concrete. To begin with, it plays an important role in the polishing process when used with Concrete Shield™ Premium Densifier and Concrete Shield™ Enhancer. In addition, it helps patch small air pockets and pinholes during polishing. Furthermore, it hardens and seals both new and old concrete. Overall, Grout 1000 is a reliable step in achieving smooth, polished surfaces.

Applications

Apply Concrete Shield™ Grout 1000 using a pump sprayer and a fine bristle broom. First, spray a light coat of water on the floor. This helps Grout 1000 soak into the concrete. Use just enough water to dampen the surface—don’t let it pool.

While the floor is still damp, spray Grout 1000 generously with a pump sprayer. Work about 3 to 5 meters in front of the grinder. Use the broom to scrub the surface. This helps clean dust from the concrete pores.

Next, run the grinder with 120-grit diamonds over the wet Grout 1000. As you grind, the dust from the diamonds mixes with the Grout 1000. This forms a slurry that fills small holes from air bubbles or pulled-out aggregate. After grinding, gently sweep the floor with a fine broom to remove most of the excess slurry. Then apply Fortis Concrete Shield™ Densifier or Concrete Shield™ Premium Lithium to complete the process.

Surfaces

Before applying, make sure the surface is clean and dry. Remove any wax, oil, grease, dirt, curing products, or loose material. The temperature should be between 10°C and 35°C. Make sure the area is well ventilated during use and while the grout is drying. For best results, apply Grout 1000 within two days of grinding the concrete to avoid surface issues. Grout 1000 can also be diluted and used as a budget-friendly dust sealer for concrete floors.

  • Don’t let the product pool or collect on the surface.
  • It can leave white spots when dry.
  • Avoid using it during the final polishing step because the color might look uneven. Not made for natural stone surfaces.
  • Don’t apply over areas treated with sealers or curing products unless they are fully removed.
  • This product won’t fix broken or crumbling concrete. Use it only on solid, stable floors.
